3 January 2020
Event Type: Quiet Day | 10am - 4pm
Theme/Focus: New Beginnings...
Quiet days at Nicholaston house have been running for several years and offer opportunities for people to step away from the busyness of their daily lives and enjoy a mini retreat. The day is spent for the most part in silent reflection with some times of thoughtful input from those leading the day. There is generally an overall theme for the year with thoughts on various aspects of the theme reflected on. We have also looked at Seasons of the Soul and timed it together with the seasons in nature.
Quiet days are a good taster for those who are new to retreats but are interested to find out the benefits of spending time in a safe and comfortable environment in order to deepen their spiritual journey.
Come and experience the peace and beauty of the delightful surroundings at Nicholaston House. Please bring a packed lunch; tea, coffee and afternoon cake will be provided.

‘God’s House’ is a detailed account of how Nicholaston House came into existence by the man who had the vision and was given instruction direct from God.
In 1990 God unmistakably led Sue and Derrick Hancock to Swansea to see a vision fulfilled which God had given them some years previously. The booklet (A5, 53 pages, colour) gives a brief factual account of what God did and is doing. It has been written for two reasons - to give glory to God and to show what very ordinary people can do when they step out in faith with God. 'All that we have accomplished, You have done for us' - Isaiah 26 v 12.
