Prayer and Refreshing (Prayer Ministry) Retreats
Do you ever feel burdened and would like to share your concerns, both with God and also with a sympathetic human ear? Life can be hectic and time pressurised, but a few days at Nicholaston House may provide peace and tranquillity to explore God’s heart and direction.
Nicholaston House was founded on prayer and for over 20 years guests have received prayer ministry. At first, this was given on an ad-hoc basis as time for prayer was requested by individual guests, and provision eagerly provided by the managers and other mature Christians. In recent years, opportunities for prayer have become more structured and weeks set aside providing a specific focus on prayer ministry.
These weeks occur about nine or ten times a year. Morning and evening devotions give time for worship and reflection. Each guest is then allocated two prayer ministers, who spend up to 1 1⁄2-hour sessions on the three days of their stay. The time may then be spent on private reflection, exploring the beautiful Gower coast or spending time in our well-equipped art and craft room.
Prayer is provided by a dedicated team who have all received training in prayer ministry. Prayer ministry spaces are limited, so it is wise to make an early application.
What prayer and refreshing guests have been saying:
"I have been filled by the Spirit. My prayer life has changed."
"I have been extremely blessed."
"I'm going away a stronger and more peaceful person than when I came. Prayer ministry was excellent and really felt Jesus was listening. Thank you."

‘God’s House’ is a detailed account of how Nicholaston House came into existence by the man who had the vision and was given instruction direct from God.
In 1990 God unmistakably led Sue and Derrick Hancock to Swansea to see a vision fulfilled which God had given them some years previously. The booklet (A5, 53 pages, colour) gives a brief factual account of what God did and is doing. It has been written for two reasons - to give glory to God and to show what very ordinary people can do when they step out in faith with God. 'All that we have accomplished, You have done for us' - Isaiah 26 v 12.
