Nicholaston House Development Update
1 February 2019
Trustees are awaiting news on various funding applications concerning the development plans for Nicholaston House. In 2018, a target start development date of August 2019 was set and fundraising commenced, with nearly £65k being raised to date. As news on major funding applications is still awaited, trustees agreed it prudent to continue programme planning for the remainder of 2019 and also into early 2020. Fundraising efforts continue and further announcements will be made in due course regarding development plans, once news about other funding streams are clear. Nicholaston House is open for bookings for the whole or 2019 - full programme details are available on the website, with new events recently added: www.nicholastonhouse.org

The Development Vision
Over the last 20 years, Nicholaston House has been privileged to help people from all walks of life with a host of different needs. But, in today’s pressurized world, where so many are in need of spiritual and mental healing, a huge re-development is desperately needed.
In 2018, trustees launched an exciting initiative to help to raise £2million for a life-changing re-development. The aim is to be able to accommodate additional people, yet have more private ‘breakout’ spaces, as well as bedrooms with balconies and self-contained eco-pods in the garden. For most individuals and companies, a £2million bill for the works would be a serious undertaking, but, for a charity, it is a very significant challenge. Funding will come from a number of different streams, but Swansea City Mission and Educational Trust need to raise at least 25% of the total cost. With your help, we can do this – and achieve even more – over the next 20 years. If you would like to help to bring this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to fruition by giving a donation to the development project fund, please donate online at: https://www.give.net/NHDevelopmentProject

‘God’s House’ is a detailed account of how Nicholaston House came into existence by the man who had the vision and was given instruction direct from God.
In 1990 God unmistakably led Sue and Derrick Hancock to Swansea to see a vision fulfilled which God had given them some years previously. The booklet (A5, 53 pages, colour) gives a brief factual account of what God did and is doing. It has been written for two reasons - to give glory to God and to show what very ordinary people can do when they step out in faith with God. 'All that we have accomplished, You have done for us' - Isaiah 26 v 12.
